Making your DIY Candy Dispenser:
Cutting Small Holes in Both the Walls of the Cup:
This step involves piercing two small holes, one on each side of your cup. Take caution while doing this as the cup may slip.
Cutting the Holes on the Top and a Square Cut on the Mouth of the Cup:
Here, you will create additional openings in your cup. There will be one hole on the top and another square-shaped cut on the cup’s mouth. The holes will vary in size and shape, each serving a different purpose.
Cutting the New Cup:
In this step, you’ll need another cup, which will be cut using scissors or a blade. Be careful while doing this to prevent any injuries.
Gluing the Cut Piece:
You will now glue the piece that was cut from the second cup. Ensure to spread the adhesive evenly for secure placement.
Attaching the Cut Piece Inside the Cup:
Now, place the piece you cut out from the second cup inside the first cup. This should fit right into the first cup, making the initial structure of our candy dispenser.
Cutting a Square in the Sticky Note:
You are almot done, you’ll need a sticky note in which you have to cut out a small square.
Marking the Piece:
This step involves checking that the pipe can move freely in the holes we created earlier. This pipe will act like a gate to allow the passage of candy. Whenever this pipe is rotated, candy will fall from the source into it. With further rotation, it will fall from the square gap into the candy duct.
Gluing the piece:
Now, you will glue the cut-out and roll the sticky note to make a pipe-like structure. You have to keep in mind the markings we did in the previous step.
Closing the Open Ends by Tissue Paper:
Use tissue paper to close off the open ends of the pipes. It will create a form of plug for your candy dispenser.
Cutting a Hole on the Top of Plastic Cup:
Here, make another hole on the top of your plastic cup. This hole will serve as the filling point for the candies.
Placing the Cup on the Other:
Place the cup with the top hole onto the cup with the candy duct. Ensure they align well and are stable.
Making the Stickers:
In this playful part, create the M&M’s stickers. These will be used to decorate your dispenser, making it even more appealing.
Making the Collector:
Take a sticky note square and cut it with the scissors to make a candy collector.
The Final Look:
Add all the stickers, assemble all the parts, and you are all set. Your homemade candy dispenser is ready to be filled and dispensed. Enjoy your sweets!
