A mom-approved list of favorite art supplies for toddlers are easy to use, washable and non-toxic including paint, markers, chalk, paper, a smock, an easel and more! Happy painting!

I recently bought a small easel and a plethora of art supplies for my busy 2 year old. She loves to do arts and crafts so I thought it would fun to see if she would take up an interest in painting. I did a lot of research online for the best art supplies for toddlers before I purchased them. There are so many available these days and I need supplies that are easy to use, washable and non-toxic. I had no idea at the time what a budding little artist that Annabelle was going to become! [Read more…]

Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party Ballet

cocos-christmas-ballet-img_7652This was a big weekend for my 2 year old, Annabelle. She attended her very first ballet and to make that even sweeter, it was a sugar plum fairy themed tea party as well. The cherry on top? Her cousin Coco, who she often refers to as her “best fwiend”, was one of the ballerinas. The ballet recital was held at a darling little dance studio in my hometown (Waxahachie, TX) and it was such a charming event that I just had to share the photos with you. [Read more…]

Honey Maid Graham Cracker Houses

Thank you to HONEY MAID Graham Crackers for sponsoring this post.

Put a spin on the Christmas tradition of making gingerbread houses. Make mini graham cracker houses instead. They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids!I’m big on holiday traditions in our household. My childhood memories are packed full of them and I want my kids to grow up experiencing that same kind of fun. One such tradition that I love at Christmas time is the building, eating, and decorating of gingerbread houses. It simply wouldn’t seem like Christmas without this tradition!

Put a spin on the Christmas tradition of making gingerbread houses. Make mini graham cracker houses instead. They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids!My mother always said that I would eat a piece of candy and then decorate with one. Eat and repeat. She would go to Walmart and purchase a variety of my favorite candy for our gingerbread houses. It was like Christmas came early when I’d see those Walmart bags full of candy sitting atop our kitchen counter in mid December each year.

Put a spin on the Christmas tradition of making gingerbread houses. Make mini graham cracker houses instead. They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids!I enjoy passing down traditions like these to my daughter and she eats it up, literally. I also like to put my own spin on my favorite holiday traditions occasionally. We still shop at Walmart and Walmart.com for candy but instead of making houses of gingerbread, we use HONEY MAID Graham Crackers.

They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids!HONEY MAID Graham Crackers provides wholesome nutrition for my growing toddler and she adores the sweet, delicious taste of these graham crackers. It’s a win-win when it comes to a snack time solution and for simplicity in building candy houses!

Put a spin on the Christmas tradition of making gingerbread houses. Make mini graham cracker houses instead. They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids!I love how easy it is to build graham cracker houses, even for tiny fingers. We like to make several miniature houses so eventually we have a little village of them. We pretend like Sour Patch Kids, which just so happens to be my favorite candy of all time, are real kids and Teddy Grahams are their bear friends. Oh how my daughter loves to play “house” with these candies!

They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids! When it comes to decorating graham cracker houses, I like to use a miniature muffin pan to sort and display the candy. Not only does it look cute, but it keeps things organized so my little one can concentrate on her edible art. She’s a lot like me, she believes in the “eat and repeat” method too! A muffin pan allows for easy refills of disappearing candy.

They're fun, snackable, and easy for kids!Along with an assortment of candy, I also provide icing or melted chocolate which is the glue that sticks the candy to the graham cracker houses. My favorite melting chocolate is the Wilton brand which can be found at Walmart. My toddler and I like to pretend like we are putting shingles on the roof as we “glue” candy to the roofs of our graham cracker houses. It’s so much fun!

Mamarazzi Moment: Bubble Bath Baby

Toddler photography: Ode to Bubbles. My #mamarazzi moment this week captures my bubble bath baby. Ordinary memories are the sweetest. This #mamarazzi moment captures my sweet bubble bath baby.

Ode to the Bubble Bath

Once I’m in my bubble bath

I like to stir up more.

Toddler photography: Ode to Bubbles. My #mamarazzi moment this week captures my bubble bath baby. Ordinary memories are the sweetest.

Half the suds go in my eyes

And half go on the floor.

Toddler photography: Ode to Bubbles. My #mamarazzi moment this week captures my bubble bath baby. Ordinary memories are the sweetest.

The fun is in the bubbles ’cause

they giggle on my skin.

Toddler photography: Ode to Bubbles. My #mamarazzi moment this week captures my bubble bath baby. Ordinary memories are the sweetest.

And when I stick them on my face,

they dangle from my chin.

Toddler photography: Ode to Bubbles. My #mamarazzi moment this week captures my bubble bath baby. Ordinary memories are the sweetest.

When I splash them hard enough,

they pop and disappear.

Toddler photography: Ode to Bubbles. My #mamarazzi moment this week captures my bubble bath baby. Ordinary memories are the sweetest.
And then my bath time’s over ’cause
I’ve made the water clear.
