No Bake Cookies

So you signed up to bring “cookies” to your child’s class party. That’s pretty generic, right? How boring does “cookies” sound? So you scour Pinterest looking for cookie ideas that will show you have mad Mom skills. Good plan until you get overwhelmed with all of the options you see and you resort to buying “slice and bake” cookies from the grocery store. We’ve all been there but just. stop. it. already!

Yep, I’m talking about THE No Bake Cookie! You’ve had them before and LOVED them, but then you got swept away into the land of pretty Pin boards and unreasonable baking expectations and you’ve long since forgotten all about the easiest cookie there ever was.

Your family will love these chocolate peanut butter oatmeal delights!I usually make four dozen of these chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies to take to parties or events and I only come home with a handful. Case closed. Enjoy the recipe!

No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • 3 cup Oatmeal
  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper
  2. Combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in a large pan.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add remaining ingredients, mix well and remove from heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of mixture on prepared sheet and allow to cool.

P.S. Little Annabelle is a fan of no bake cookies too. So much so that they inspired her to learn the word cookie.ย This was taken on the day she starting saying that word and it will always be one of my favorite photos of her. :)

  30. These look so good. They take me back down memory lane. When my daughter was playing sports, we used to attend all her games. They used to sell these no-bake cookies at the games. We would buy them and eat them while we watched her games. Those were good memories.

  60. My mom is not a baker at all, but she just made these a couple months ago and they were quite tasty. I was pretty proud of her! I’m the baker so it’s usually “Hey sis, could you make this or that for me?”. Which I don’t mind, but I was pleased that she tried making these on her own and they turned out great!

    The no bake cookies are so delicious and so easy to make with the kids. These no bake cookies are my moms favorite treat and when she was not eating at all for days we would make her these cookies. It was at least something to keep her alive at the time.
