Being that we got engaged at a vineyard in Napa Valley, it made perfect sentimental sense to spend our very first married Valentine’s Day at a vineyard. Luckily, there’s a beautiful vineyard within an hour of our small Ohio town.
Gervasi Vineyard is located in Canton, Ohio. It’s a gorgeous place and I highly recommend it for any special occasion if you’re in the area.
Our wine tasting was lovely! I think that we both agree that the Luce Luce Pinot Grigio was our favorite wine of the evening. The Truscano, a Sangiovese blend comes in second.
On to food.
We enjoyed the bruschetta trio antipasti and the winter salad to start. My husband had the Tuscan beef short ribs and I had the Manzo Italiano. Mine was the winner, but only slightly. We finished our meal with hazelnut brownies and vanilla bean gelato.
Earlier that day, we exchanged Valentine’s Day gifts.
Aaron surprised me with beautiful bouquet of red roses, chocolates, and a sweet teddy bear.
I surprised him with a Superman Valentine Lollipop Bouquet that I made, fun Superman gifts, and Reese’s Peanut Butter hearts.
He also got a kick out of this t-shirt that I ordered from etsy.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a loungewear staple for me.
I hope you too had a blessed Valentine’s Day and that next year, you might just consider a vineyard Valentine’s.
Xoxo
